

William Howard Greenlee, age 91, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on February 20, 2024. He was born on June 19, 1932, in Hasse, Texas. He graduated from Monahans High School in 1950, and then attended the University of Texas El Paso where he played football and graduated with a Bachelors Degree of Science in 1954. The next four years, Howard attended the University of Texas Dental School in Houston where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After graduation from UT Houston Dental school, he proudly served in the Navy for 2 years on active duty. After retirement from the Navy, he spent 32 years in the reserves, retiring with the rank of Captain.
Howard dedicated over 50 years to a successful career as a Dentist in Pampa and Arlington, Texas. He was well known for his dedication to his private practice and his active involvement in various dental associations. Howard served as the President of the Fort Worth Dental Society, the Texas State Dental Board and as a Pantego City Council Member.
In his personal life, Howard was described as outgoing, friendly, and always with a smile. He never had a bad day and had a servant attitude, always prioritizing others over himself. He found joy in flying his private plane and repairing antique clocks post-retirement. He was a longtime member of Fielder Row Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas where he served as a Deacon. After moving to Dallas, he became a member at Park Cities Baptist Church.
Howard is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Claudia Whitefield Greenlee; daughter, Alicia Wilder, son-in-law, Scott Wilder, and granddaughter, Alexandra Wilder, all of Dallas; and sister, Donna Williamson of North Richland Hills. He was preceded in death by his only son, John Howard Greenlee, parents, Marion William Greenlee and Marie Haynie Greenlee, as well as his siblings.
A private graveside will be held at Moore Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer Association in honor of his wife who he tirelessly cared for the past ten years.
William Howard Greenlee will be remembered for his dedication to his profession,his love for his family, and his commitment to serving his community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
