Winifred Sue Jenkins Jenkins Hill

Services for Winifred J. Hill will be 10:00 am Thursday, May 29th at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing and visitation will be held the hour prior to the service. Friends are invited to a time of refreshments and remembrance with the family following the service.

Winifred J. Hill passed from this life May 24, 2014. She was born October 29, 1937 in Des Plaines, Illinois to Paul Ronald Jenkins and Helen Marie Dunnom Jenkins. She married her husband of 50 years, Lewis C. Hill, Jr. May 23, 1964 in Des Plaines. Winifred was an adored wife, excellent mother and had a career as a registered nurse. Her career began with employment at Resurrection Hospital in Chicago, Illinois prior to her marriage. She relocated to Texas in 1964 when she and Lewis were married and continued her career as a nurse at Arlington Memorial Hospital and more than 16 years at DFW Medical Center in Grand Prairie, she also worked for several DFW nursing homes.

Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her father and mother, two sisters; Katherine Ann and Helen Patricia Jenkins, one brother, Paul Will Jenkins, and one grandchild. Survivors include her husband Lewis C. Hill, Jr. of Arlington, four children; Susan Christine Hill of McKinney, Deborah Eileen Hill Meissner and husband Mitch of Fort Worth, Cynthia Kathleen Hill Bearden and husband Tony of Weatherford, David Michael Hill and wife Rhonda of Rhome, fourteen grandchildren and two sisters; her twin, Mary Agnes Jenkins King and husband Bill of California and Jean Jenkins Engel of Illinois and many nieces and nephews.
