Blaise A. Tilton

Cambridge, MA - Blaise A. Tilton, age 64, of Lewiston, died Tuesday afternoon January 13th at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Cambridge, MA with family at his side. He was born in Portland, ME April 9, 1950, a son of Donald O. and Gilda A. (Fields) Tilton and was educated in Portland schools. Blais was a Military Veteran having served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was Honorably Discharged as a Navy Corpsman and was presented with a National Defense Service Medal. Following his years in the service, his working career was many years in grocery retail. He was a member of the D.A.V. and among his favorite enjoyments were reading, listening to his favorite music of the 1960's and the company of his two cats Charlie and Shamus. In later years, having journeyed through challenging times in his personal life, his spiritual faith was renewed and grew stronger going forward. About a year ago, he met his companion and current fiancee, Jackie Ouellette and together they enjoyed quality time attending weekly spiritual meetings through the Catholic Church. He and Jackie were due to be married in February. He was a loving and hard-working husband, father, brother and fiancee who will be greatly missed. Blaise leaves his daughter Heather M. Tilton-Devlin and husband Stephen of Burlington, MA; his two sons Christopher Tilton and his wife Laurie of Minot, ME and Jaysen Tilton and his wife Michelle of Surry, ME; six grandchildren Jessica, Victoria and Catherine Rais, Keyana Tilton, Jonathan and Jayden Tilton; his fiancee Jackie Ouellette of Auburn; his two brothers Keith Tilton of Lewiston and Michael Tilton and and wife Jeannie of Gorham; several nieces and nephews and his two cats Charlie and Shamus. Blaise was predeceased by his parents, a brother Craig and a niece Jennifer. Visitation FORTIN GROUP / AUBURN Fri. 4-8 PM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church Sat. 11 AM. Interment will take place in the family lot at New Calvary Cemetery in So. Portland at a later date.
