Earle "Bud" Francis Abbott

LEWISTON – Earle Francis Abbott, better known as, “Bud”, 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. He was born in Sumner on December 13, 1946, the son of the late Sidney and Alma (Davenport) Abbott. Bud married Linda (Morin) and they shared a loving marriage of 48 years. He was a member of the U.S. Trotters Association and the Veterans Association. Bud was proud to serve in the United States Army. After the Military, he was a Blacksmith and Computer Technician, and enjoyed spending his time fishing, hiking, building computers and being with friends and family. Bud always had to be doing something, and when he was, he preferred it to be outdoors.

Bud is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Eren and her husband Greg of Tampa, FL; his brother, Sidney and his wife Gerry of West Paris; his three grandchildren, Kate, Grace and Declan; his two nephews, Dannie and Clay, and his niece, Vicki. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Holy Family Church in Lewiston at 11 am. A committal service will follow the Mass at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston. Friends and family will be gathering at The Fortin Group Funeral Home, located at 217 Turner St. Auburn, ME 04210 for a luncheon reception from 1-3pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bud’s name to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 .
