

SABATTUS- Germaine Marie Dube, 95, passed away at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion, on February 14th, 2026. She was born in New Brunswick, Canada, on April 4th, 1930, to the late Olivier and Sophie (Daigle) Levesque.
Germaine met the love of her life, Raymond M. Dube, and married on May 17th, 1947, and they shared 66 wonderful years together before his passing in 2013. Germaine and Raymond worked hard to build a beautiful life together while raising their 3 children, Gerard M. Dube, Susan M. Caron, and Cheryl T. Godin.
She attended Lewiston Public Schools before beginning her working career as a production worker in various manufacturing facilities such as Continental Mill, Bates Mill, Raytheon/RCA, and Tambrands. Germaine retired from Tambrands after 20 years of employment with them.
She had a strong faith which carried her through life. She was a hard worker and very proud of her growing family that she loved dearly. Germaine would host pool parties and lobster bakes and was always finding a way to gather her family together to make memories and share time with them.
In her free time, you could find her crocheting beautiful doilies or tablecloths and centerpieces.
In addition to her husband, Germaine is predeceased by her 14 siblings, Cecile Bouchard, Armand Levesque, Irene Chasse, Camille Levesque, Regina Sprague, Rita Jacques, Agnes Dubois, Omer Levesque, Yvette Ouellette, Jeannette Lesmerise, Robert Levesque, Josephat Levesque, Conrad Levesque, and Lionel Levesque.
She is survived by her 3 children, Gerard Dube and wife Sandra, daughter Susan Caron and husband Donald, and daughter Cheryl Godin and husband Peter.
Germaine was lovingly known as “Memere” or “Mem” and is survived by her grandchildren, Lisa and partner Tom, Craig and fiancée Heather, Jennifer and partner Bobby, Samantha and husband Rob, Brian, Amanda and husband John, Steven and wife Kara. As well as her great grandchildren, Olivia, Sophie and fiancée Jayden, Melody, Hunter and partner Taylor, Sebastian, Brandi, Jace, Henry, Abigail and Emma. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Germaine’s visitation will be held on Monday, February 23rd, from 4-7PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 217 Center Street, Auburn. Her mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday February 24th, at 11:00AM at the Holy Trinity Parish, 67 Frost Hill Avenue, Lisbon. The committal will follow immediately after at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 217 Switzerland Road, Lewiston. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
