Auburn - Marjorie Plummer, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2014, at Schooner Estates in Auburn. She was born on May 27, 1918, in Lubec, Maine, the only child of Mildred (Dodge) and Burris Leeman. Marjorie and Philip moved to Auburn in 1944 where she raised four children, several Irish Setters, and taught English and Social Studies for thirty years at Central Middle School in Auburn. Marjorie had a great wit and was very social. She enjoyed her monthly dinners with fellow teachers and coffee klatches with her many younger friends. A lover of the ocean, Marjorie enjoyed summers at the Plummer family home in Addison and her cottage at Sandy River Beach, Jonesport. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Philip, and later by her companion of many years, Nathaniel "Sam" Kelley, of Lubec.
