She was born in Lewiston, October 27, 1948 the daughter of Frank and Ethel (Mixer) Kelley. Sally was a very affectionate person, quick to give a smile or hug to anyone she liked. Her passions were food, (her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving) and anything relating to Elvis. She also loved dogs and cats and seemed to have a way all her own of communicating with them. For the last 17 years, Sally lived in Gardiner with her very dedicated care provider, Amy Buck and her special friends Lucy and Patty. In October she moved to the home of Sheila and Keith Vigue in Farmingdale, where she quickly adjusted to that new home and the loving environment there.Throughout her many years of living in the Gardiner area, Sally attended the Uplift day program at the Cobbossee Center where in 2010 she was voted "Person of the Year". There are no words to convey the dedication and kindness of the staff at Uplift, especially that of Penny Rivers who worked most closely with Sally as a teacher, guiding angel and friend. She is survived by three brothers, Tom of Brandon, Florida, Dan and his wife Linda of Greensboro, Maryland and Brian and his wife Lori of Auburn; two sisters, Mildred Eastman and Marcia White and her husband Alan of Auburn. She is also survived by a special aunt, Phyllis Mixer as well as several nieces and nephews. Sally was predeceased by her parents, her sister Patricia Kons and her brother Dean.
