

Rangeley- Brad O'Connor 55 of Minot died suddenly in the woods of Rangeley on Monday December 30, 2013. He was born in Lewiston on October 1, 1958 a son of Robert and Elizabeth (Brown) O'Connor. He was educated in Minot and graduated from Edward Little High School class of 1977. Brad married his high school sweet heart, the former Dianne Rand on June 2, 1979. Brad was currently employed at Form Fiber Technology for the past 30 years. He was the warehouse manager. Brad grew up in Minot and was a member of The West Auburn Congregational Church. Brad was a true family man and he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandsons. He and Dianne loved to spend weekends and vacation time in Rangeley at the camp that they built with their family. Brad was happiest when he was outdoors, especially in the woods. He was a dedicated hunter and fishermen and was the ‘unofficial guide’ to many friends and family over the years. Brad enjoyed keeping busy volunteering at Farmer Whiting’s, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and playing softball. He leaves his wife of 34 years Dianne of Minot, his father Robert O'Connor of Minot, his three children, Shawn W. O'Connor of Minot, Michael C. O'Connor and wife Elizabeth of Minot and Kelli A. Young and husband Kenny of Springfield VT, two sisters Kathy Attwood and husband Paul of Minot, and Patty Roy and husband Dick of Minot, two brothers Kevin O'Connor and wife Karen of Mt. Vernon and Tim O'Connor and wife Robin of Bowdoinham, two grandchildren Andrew M. and Matthew C. O'Connor, his father in law Erlon Rand Jr. of Turner and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth O'Connor, and his mother in law Janice Rand. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Saturday Jan. 4, 2014 at West Auburn Congregational Church at 11 AM.
