

Billy Dean King "Papa" went home to be with the Lord October 26, 2014, at the age of 82. "Papa" was born in Courtney, Oklahoma. He was called to service in the US Army during the Korean War and retired after 40 years with Kern County Road Department in 1994.
Papa enjoyed many activities throughout his life such as bowling, fishing, camping, Eagle Mountain Trips (favorite of all) watching his favorite sports, Baseball (Angels), Football (Packers) and Nascar Racing. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grand children, great grand children and his little buddy "
Beamer
".
Papa is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Willene King along with his loving children: Sheila Epperson, Michael and Chris King; Grandchildren: Thomas and LaShawn Trent, Michelle King and Stephanie Rocha, Michael and Christopher King; Great-grandchildren: Jocelyn, Rachel and Joshua. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews whose lives have been touched by his presence.
Papa was preceded in death by his parents James and Valery King and brother Jimmy King (Jr).
A special Thank you to Hoffmann Hospice and Melanie Juarez for the care of Papa during his last days.
Pallbearers: Thomas Trent, Michael and Christopher King, Dale and Robert Gibson, and Calvin Wallis.
Visitation is scheduled Thursday, October 30,2014, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Visitation Room. Funeral Service is scheduled Friday, October 31, 2014, 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel.
Papa will truly be missed by all his loving family and friends.
