

He was born to parents, Bob J. Watts Sr. and Marjorie Lancaster. He grew up in Mayfield surrounded by numerous aunts, uncles and rowdy cousins. He loved to tell stories of his childhood adventures with his sister, Trish, and extended family. He was drafted into the United States Army and was sent to Vietnam. When he returned home, he met his future wife, Diane. They married May 16, 1970 and raised two children, Terri Lynn and Mark.
Bob and Diane were happily married for 53 years. They were each other’s best friend, confidante and travel companion. They traveled the world visiting Hong Kong, London, Canada, Mexico, Paris, Germany Florence, Barcelona and Lisbon. After Bob discovered his intense and lasting love for motorcycles, they traveled extensively throughout the Western United States. He also loved his RV and taking it along the California Central Coast, his favorite destination. Two days before his passing, he spent a glorious day at the beach with family, which he referenced as the “perfect day”.
When Bob became a grandfather, he found his true calling in life. He made the transition into becoming Pop. All the kids called him Pop and he loved it! His best times were spent taking the kids camping, playing in the swimming pool, wrestling, or playing board games. Bob truly adored and cared for his family and dogs.
Bob worked in the oil refining industry, retiring from San Joaquin Refining Co. He made many good friends in his time at San Joaquin.
Those left behind to celebrate Bob’s life include Diane, his wife, Patricia and Rick Prickett (sister and her husband), Tammy Robinson (sister), Terri King (daughter), Carly and Marcus Monsibais (granddaughter and her husband), Brody Watts (grandson), Jordan Jackson (grandson), Great Grandchildren Marcus Monsibais Jr., Zayleh Monsibais, Lily Monsibais, Nathaniel Jackson, Ali Jackson, Dustin Ledbetter and Jordan Jackson, Jr.
Bob will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, California on October 5th at 2:00pm.
Bob had a zest for life! He loved it with honor, truthfulness and love for his family and numerous friends. He will be missed.
