Carlos Benavidez, cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, was 59 years old of Bakersfield, CA when he went to be with the lord on July 5th, 2016. He was born on November 17th, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Alma; three sons Carlos Adan, Carlos Jr., and Andres; only daughter Sonya; two grandchildren Kianna and Angelo Benavidez; brothers; Humberto, Baldemar, Reynaldo, and Albert; sisters; Gertrudes, Beatrice, and Melinda; the Benavidez family and numerous other relatives and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by father Adan Benavidez and mother Otilia De La Garza; brothers; Adan Jr., Ruben and sister Ydolina Perez.
He proudly served as a U.S. Marine Sergeant. He had an amazingly strong work ethic and worked for Baker Hughes and BJ Services over 20 years. Hobbies were fishing, cycling, going to the gym, enjoying the outdoors, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and barbecuing with his friends and family gatherings. Carlos was especially fond of his dog Roxy.
Carlos Benavidez will be greatly missed.
