

Carolyn had a strong belief in Christ & accepted him at an early age. Carolyn received her Elementary Education in San Antonio and graduated from Princeton High School in Houghton, Louisiana. After high school, she went on to Saint Philips College in San Antonio, Texas. She later received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Cal State Stanislaus University.
Carolyn worked many jobs and held several positions in her lifetime, she worked for the Department of Human Services as a Social Worker for many years. After moving to Bakersfield, she became interested in real estate and received her real estate license. She worked as a mortgage broker and as a real estate agent up until she was injured on the job.
Carolyn was a member of San Joaquin chapter of the Prince Hall Masons Order of the Eastern Star. Carolyn loved music and was always playing her organ for anyone that would listen, Carolyn also loved to cook, she was known to make a variety of dishes. She loved to experiment in making different cultural foods.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Leslie H. Bailey and her parents, Floyd and Eugenia Center.
Those left to honor her life are her children Troy and Sonya (daughter in law) and Angela (Nice) Davis, stepdaughters Collette and Carla, her grandchildren, Alexander (Philip), Kaila, Christopher and Cameron Davis, Miracle and Nia Cigar of Los Angeles. Great grandchildren Arianna, Mateo, Alexander and Sebastian all of Bakersfield and a host of nieces and Nephews that reside in Florida and New York.
