I was fortune to have attended several high school classes with Carolyn.
She was a intelligent, beautiful young lady, the perfect example young ladies now days should mirror themselves after.
You will be missed Carolyn.

Carolyn was such a beautiful and kind lady and I enjoyed working with Carolyn at Occidental.  I know that she will be missed but the wonderful memories of her will remain.  My prayers are with her loved ones.

What a joy it has been to know Carolyn at Kern City Community Church.  Please know that you, her family, are in my prayers as your Mom has been for sometime now.  My favorite verse at this time of HomeGoing is Psalms 116:15 - 'Precious in the sight of the Lord is the HomeGoing of His saints' - I am sure our Lord said to Carolyn, 'well done thou good and faithful servant, well done'.  Going to miss her so much.

I was so sad to open the paper today and read of Carolyn's passing. She was a good friend of my mom, Helen Myers. My mom passed away a little over two years ago and I remember Carolyn calling me to talk to me afterward to tell me how she would miss my mom. I am grateful for her friendship to my mother. My prayers are with you, her friends and family, during this time of loss. I'm confident Carolyn and my mom are having a lovely reunion in the Lord's presence.

When we lift up our eyes and see the Lord
We won't be needing this old world anymore
He will have come to gather His flock
Heaven's doors He will have unlocked

He will have come for the chosen few
He will have come for me and you
His coming will be a beautiful sight
We will be going on a Heavenly flight

And be prepared to meet Him face to face

We lived across from one another many years ago.  My mom, Mary Jardin, and Carolyn Upshaw were friends.  My mom has some of Carolyn's recipes in her recipe box!  I have such sweet sweet memories of the Upshaw family.  God bless you all as you enter this grieving journey.  It is not easy to lose a parent.  I am praying for you.  Always your friend, Peg Jardin

To my Mommy,You lived should a wonderful life up till about 10 yrs ago and the pain set in and got worse and worse .. surgery after surgery and still in pain . And so Mommy I have been praying to God over the years that if the doctor's couldnt help you to be out of pain,than for the Lord God to take her so she wouldnt be in pain anymore . Mommy I will LOVE till my last dying breathe .. Bye Mommy
