We enjoyed her and Hal’s contributions as decades-long members of Wesley UMC in Bakersfield, CA.  She also was a dear personal friend.  His beautiful speaking voice inspired my husband’s KBCC radio station students and Catherine’s lovely singing voice inspired our daughter’s years in choral groups.

The Sparks’ personal graciousness and commitment to faith has and will be sorely missed in our local United Methodist community.
