Our beloved grandfather passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on May 29, 2011. He was born January 25, 1930 in Chisumville, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Minnie Hopper, his beloved wife Billie Jo Hopper, children, Sylvia, Larry, and Charles Hopper, grandchildren Jimmy Wayne, Billie Jo Hopper and Jackie Russell. He is survived by his sons, Jimmy and Bill Hopper; grandson and caregiver, Joey Hopper, special boy Mason Hopper, 21 other grandchildren, 44 great- grandchildren and 16 great- great- grandchildren who all loved him very much. Charlie was an exceptional man who cared for his family. Charlie raised many of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He worked in the oilfields most of his life, retiring from Hylton Drilling in 1984. He will truly be missed. Viewing will be held Thursday, June 2nd, from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Services will be held on Friday, June 3rd, at 2:00pm at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.
