He passed away in his home in Bakersfield, CA on June 30, 2025.
At an early age Charles and his family relocated to Wasco, CA, where he attended Wasco High, then later moved to Bakersfield where he worked as a janitor at Garces High School as well as Bakersfield Waste Management.
Charles loved to make people laugh, play dominoes, watch old westerns, spend time with family and could often be spotted around town riding his bike.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Will & Esther, siblings Carl Lee Harvey, Willie B. Bones, DC Young, Curtis Young, Berthola Daniels, Annibelle Lane, Willi Lane Jr. and YC Lane (aka Bo).
Left to carry on his memory are his children, Illyna Richard Lane and his wife, Sandy, Wynessa Richelle Lane and Christy Lane. His siblings Sally Mae Lane Coleman, Erma MaGee and Roy Lane and his host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandkids, great grand kids, friends & Loved ones who will miss him always!
