December 16th, 1934- March 21st, 2022
Our wonderful, amazing Mom passed peacefully on March 21st, 2022, surrounded by her family. She had a deep faith in God and she lived out her Christian values every day loving and serving her family, her friends and anyone in need. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. She loved and cherished her five Grandkids and they loved and cherished her in return. Grandma/Nanny was at every event, game, and recital and she loved supporting her Grandkids in all of their pursuits and interests. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and friend and will be missed by all of those fortunate enough to know her.
Maggie (Christine) was born in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. She was the 6th child of eight children born to A.W. and Willie Bradshaw. The Bradshaw family moved to Bakersfield in 1936. She graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1952 and then attended Bakersfield College. She married Bob Keathley in 1955. She gave birth to her sons Duane and Alan in 1960 and 61 and she instilled in them the values and character she was so committed to. She worked at Security Pacific Bank before putting her career on hold to raise her boys. She later returned to banking at American National Bank and Wells Fargo and retired at age 70.
She is preceded in death by her parents, A.W. and Willie Bradshaw, four brothers, Freeman, Herbert, Raymond and Herman and her sisters Marie Kuykendall and Edith Terrill. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Womack, her sons Duane Keathley(Corey), Alan Keathley (Marianne), her five Grandkids, Kimberly Keathley, Blake Keathley (Laura), Michele Christine Keathley, Anna Bergeron (Dylan), and Robert Keathley, and her two Great Grandchildren, Connor Alan Bergeron and Clara Christine Keathley.
The family will hold a private interment service at Hillcrest Mortuary and a celebration of life at a later date.
