Clemente served in the US Army and was stationed in West Germany a decade following World War II. He enjoyed his time in Germany and was proud to serve his Country. In 1956, He returned home to Bakersfield CA, where he met and married the love of his life, Margaret Aguirre. Together they created a beautiful legacy of family and friends. Clemente devoted his life to God and to family. His favorite past times were taking his family to church, visiting as often as possible, being the life of the party, and dancing. He was a mentor to many, especially his many nieces & nephews whom he loved greatly. He had a way of making every person feel like they were his favorite.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Aguirre; his children Yvonne Benavente, Paula & Harvey Rivas (husband), Paul & Rachel Aguirre (wife), Rebecca & Richard Herrera (husband), Christopher & Raquel Aguirre (wife); grandchildren Amanda & Manuel Navarro (husband), Angelica & Cody Criswell (husband), Joe Rivas, Amy Benavente, Vincente Herrera, Michael & Stephanie Herrera (wife), DeeDee Benavente, Jimmy Benavente, William Clemente Rivas,
Alexcis and Mark Rodriguez (husband), Joshua & Jordan Aguirre (wife), Jacqueline & Bryce Elkins (Husband), Jenna Aguirre, Jayla Aguirre, Gavin Aguirre, 13 Great Grandchildren; his Brother, Robert & Juanita Aguirre (wife), and Sisters Mary Morin, and Conception Vasquez.
The Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 29th, 2019, at Hillcrest Mortuary located at 9101 Kern Canyon Road in Bakersfield. The funeral will be on Monday, December 30th at 10:00 AM at St Francis of Assisi Parish located at 900 H Street, with burial services immediately following at the Veterans Memorial 30338 E. Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin CA and a reception to follow at the Eagles located at 1718 17th Street, Bakersfield, CA.
