Englantina Alaniz, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in Lamont, CA surrounded by her loved ones. Tina was born in Matamoros, Tamualipas, MX to Teodulo and Margarita Gonzalez. In 1946 she married the love of her life, Ignacio, to whom she was married for 67 years. In 1965 Tina and Ignacio relocated their family to Lamont, CA.
Englantina is survived by her children Enrique Alaniz, Rudy (Estervina) Alaniz, Olivia (Felipe) Medina, Gilbert (Elva) Alaniz, Joe (Marsha) Alaniz, John (Renie) Alaniz, Francis (Herman) Miranda, Adolfo (Stella) Alaniz, and Ignacio Jr. (Chris) Alaniz. Tina also leaves 30 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Alaniz, her daughter Siria, and her son Guadalupe.
Englantina was a loving and giving woman, she enjoyed taking care of her plants, she loved to cook (her specialty was making her marvelous tamales), and she was an avid sewist. In her younger years, Tina would make clothing for her children and she kept up with this hobby even in her later years. It was a passion that she enjoyed sharing with her family.
The family of Englantina Alaniz would like to thank the staff at Adventist Hospice, Dr. Peinado, Dr. Aggarwal, Dr. Alexan, and Dr. Bosque for their gentle and caring treatment. The family would also like to recognize and give a very special thanks to Alicia Guerra. She was more than just a caregiver, she was a very very special friend who became accepted as part of the family.
Serving as pallbearers are Alex Alaniz, Moe Fernandez, Andrew Alaniz, Joseph Alaniz, Shaun Alaniz and Rudy Alaniz.
