Also known as Evie, Evelyn Spear spent the majority of her life in the Bakersfield area.
Born on January 2, 1930, in St. Louis, Oklahoma, Evelyn passed away May 22, 2018.
Evelyn worked in the banking industry for 16 years. Starting as a teller, she moved to Assistant Vice President, then Bank Manager. She was the second woman in Kern County history to hold this position. Later she attained her insurance and securities licenses and spent 36 years as an Account Executive in Financial Services.
Throughout Evelyn's whole life, a vital part of it was her relationship with Jesus and her church family at Revival Tabernacle. As Choir Director, she ministered through her music and was very proud of the two albums recorded at the church.
Her children were her beloved puppies. She gave each of them their own unique voice.
Evelyn leaves many loved ones and friends behind:
Though the song has ended, the memory lives on forever.
