Mi tío lindo, is what I called him. A man who I regarded as a father figure and highly admired for immigrating to the U.S. and achieving the American dream. I will cherish all the memories that we shared, such as dancing zapatiado at family parties and going to Six Flags per his son’s Chuy’s request, as well as lessons learned. He taught me and his daughter Susy how to drive in the fields of Bakersfield using his green pickup truck. He also taught me the benefits of recycling cans. Mi tío lindo enjoyed when mi primo Rica played the guitar and sang, “Muchacho De Campo,” which is one of our favorite songs. Your memories and lessons will remain forever in our hearts. 

Mi mami Silvia, hermanas Cecy y Christy, y yo, estamos tristes porque se nos fue, pero sabemos que está con nuestro angelito Denise en el cielo cuidándonos.

I remember seeing you just like it was yesterday then out of no where you finish your last lap. I miss you and can’t wait to see you again, I know we might be all sad but what I know is that your not hurting anymore and that your smiling in heaven.  Hello grandpa it’s your grandson  I remember being 5 years old I meet u as u knew I never had a grandpa figure but when I got to spend time with u I didn’t know what to call u and u said call me grandpa in Spanish u tough me a lot how to mow a lawn or paint a house fix the lawn mower I remember use going to Lamont and just talk on the way there I also remember that when my mom and your son when through the big argument u said “just bc they fight u never have to stay away ok Son” I remember going to the house and u would answer the door u always say son I miss u and will always love u grandpa forever your Fabian jr u gave me that name 2009 u said u will adopt me and call me that but now u have a grandson he is named after u but in my heart that’s my name love u and miss u like crazy it’s never goodbye it’s I’ll see u later save me a place in heaven papa and when I hit those gates b on the other side papa

I believe I was 7 years old. My dad had me in karate to learn self defense.  The instructor had him be my sparing partner. I was told to punch forward with my right hand towards his chin, but to not hit him. As usual I didnot pay attention to the instructions. My dad had squatted to get into position. Little did I know that he was not ready for me to throw that punch, so I went for it. I hit my daddy on the nose causing him to have a nose bleed. I immediately freaked out, and started to cry. Asking him to forgive me, and that it was an accident. He just said if anyone ever tries to steal you I want you to punch them that hard okay. He got up clean his nose and said your becoming strong. 

Fabian thank you for being a great grandfather and a father figure to my children. You were a great man, with a heart of gold. Your memory will forever remain in our thoughts and hearts and I will always keep your memory alive to my children.
I was bless to have meet a person like you! We will ALWAYS miss you, will NEVER be forgotten. Till we meet agin... watch over my Layla and her broken little heart, She misses you a lot 😢.
