Fred Elroy Brodrick 1934 - 2010 Fred Elroy Brodrick passed away on January 16, surrounded in love by family and friends who traveled near and far to be by his side in his final days. He is survived by his wife, Cricket; daughter, Becky Beaumont of Simi Valley; son, Randy Brodrick and wife Karen of Mammoth; daughter, Heidi Sinker and husband Doug of Valencia; grandchildren, Billy, Katie, Danielle and Cameron; brothers, Lendel, Wendel, Rodger and Kenny; sisters, Wanda and Brenda; and his church family. Fred was born April 16, in Wetumka, OK. He proudly served his country and after leaving the Army, he started a beautiful family and began his career as a Business Manager working at several auto dealerships in Southern California. He retired to Bakersfield and spent his golden years doing the things he loved most: fishing, gardening and reading. He treasured the time spent in Louisiana fishing with his brothers, and each year his garden grew bigger, along with his library. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him. Visitation 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. January 22, Hillcrest Mortuary. Funeral 1:00 p.m. January 23, Hillcrest Memorial Chapel.
