Josephine Louise Castillo-Munoz

Born March 19, 1951 in Delano, CA.. Passed away July 23, 2016 at the age of 65 in Bakersfield. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Coria Marquez and her father Jose Marquez. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Luis Munoz, Son's: Richard Lopez (Lisa), Stockton and David Banales, Bakersfield. Grandchildren, Alyssa Lopez, Breanne and Andres Banales, Jonathan Gamino, and Great Granddaughter Maribel Arredondo. Sisters: Mary Ellen Castro, Delano and Esther Marquez James, Porterville. Brothers: Tony Marquez, Delano and Bob Marquez, Bakersfield, Sister in law: Mary Gonzales, Bakersfield along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Josie worked as a site supervisor for 37 years at Martha Morgan Ctr School District (Head start) in Bakersfield. Upon her illness, she had to take early retirement and was awarded for service and dedication of 37 years, March 2016. In her career, she was awarded various certificates of recognition. She was also twice selected among other employees for a conference trip to Washington DC to represent her school. Another highlight in her career was being selected to deliver a speech for the opening school year in Sacramento.

She will be greatly missed by all who have known her.
