Michael worked and played hard, living his life to the fullest. Quick to lend a hand if he was needed, loved music, BBQ’s, and being in the outdoors. Mike was a talented artist and in his spare time worked in wood, metal, leather and stone. Drawing was also a pastime he enjoyed and found joy in doing.
Michael was born in Bakersfield, California, and is survived by his wife Pamela Mayfield, Mother Sherry and Father Samuel, Sisters, Stephanie Ward, Jennifer Mayfield and her husband Carson Gretlein, Sons, Dustin, Derek, Michael and Daughter Lauren and her husband Dillon Dotson. Granddaughters, Joslyn and Addilynn. Step-daughter Mariah and Step-grandson Devin Vallejo. He is also Uncle to 5 nieces and one nephew. Many cousins, aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Saturday, June 6th at 2:00pm at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel 9101 Kern Canyon Road Bakersfield, Ca.
