Miguel Emiliano Castruita a.k.a. "Mike" has come to the end of his journey on Good Friday, March 29, 2024. Mike was 46 years old and resided in Bakersfield, California. Mike was proud to be from his hometown in El Monte, California and often lived between Los Angeles and Bakersfield throughout his life.
Mike was a very strong-willed, resilient, and masculine man. He was a straight-shooter and was often the only individual in the room who would “tell it like he saw it." Mike enjoyed all types of music but mostly rap and hip-hop. At a young age he experimented in producing music and won a few rap battles/contests. Mike had a strong relationship with our God and could often be found quoting the Bible and challenging others knowledge. He had great writing skills with strong penmanship. He was undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with, mentally and physically. He had a kind heart with a desire to help those in need. He was very humble and at the same time filled with "Jet Pride." He was extremely athletic and very capable in football, baseball, and boxing. He was a complete charmer but could switch gears in a heartbeat. He was truly one of a kind.
He was fiercely protective of his family whom he leaves behind including his mother, Sharon Martinez, his brothers and their wives, Paul and Rosa Castruita, Salvador and Bertha Castruita, and Caesar and Marie Castruita, and his sister, Monique Castruita. He also leaves behind his seven nieces: Cassandra Castruita, Nevaeh Castruita, Aniah Castruita, Gianna Castruita, Julissa Castruita, Marielle Castruita, and Ella Galvan, and his one nephew, Caesar Castruita.
He has not only gone on to be with his Lord and Savior but also beloved family members who have gone before him, including: his father, Paul Richard Castruita, his grandmothers, Hortensia Fraijo and Victoria Cruze, and grandfathers, Richard Castruita and Abenicio Cruze, his aunts and uncles, Ronald Cruse, Delphine Cruse, Dennis Cruse, Benton Cruiz, Joyce Davalos, AnnaMae Cruz, and his cousins, Richard Hernandez, Benny Cruse and Brian Robles.
Mike will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial and Mortuary. The memorial services will be held on April 29, 2024 from 6-8pm and the funeral services will occur on April 30, 2024 at 1pm. Celebration of Life reception to follow at Hodel’s Country Dining.
Mike will be greatly missed and loved. He kept the faith and finished the race strong to the end. Jesus, our Lord, called His son home for He says, “I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” ~ John 14:3
