

Sal was born in Hanford, California to Sylviano and Dolores Zaragoza. Sal was 5
out of thirteen brothers and sisters. Sal joined the air force, where he started his water
works career, which lasted forty years. Sal met the love of his life Carolina in September
of 1952, they married February 12, 1954. Together Sal and Carrie built a strong loving family.
They had three children, six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. They taught
everyone that knew them what the meaning of "true endless love" was. Sal was the epitome
of what a man should be.When Sal lost Carrie in 2011, he fought hard to stay strong for the
rest of his family, but his heart just missed her too much to keep beating. Sal is preceded in
death by his wife Carrie, his father, mother, brothers Sylviano, Micheal, Manuel, Richard, Benny,
Johnny & Tommy, sisters Ruth, Margaret, Dolores & Mary, and great-grandson Rylan Perry.
He leaves behind children Manuel (Martha), Mary (Richard), grandchildren Manuel, Jr., Cecilia,
Janelle, Aaron, Brandy and Brandelyn, great-grandchildren Xavier, Carlos, Vanessa, Noah, Ryan,
Jose III, Alex, Christian, Scott and Tristan, brother Jimmy (Christina), sister Sally and all of the
extended grandchildren throughout our lives that called him "Tata." You will be truly missed and
always remember, you are our sunshine . A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 7th at Hillcrest
Memorial Park (9101 Kern Canyon Rd) from 4-8pm. Services will be held Monday, August 8th at
Our Lady of Guadalupe (601 E California Ave) at 10am
