My mother, Theresa May Aud, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 in the comfort of her home. Her health had been declining over the last several years. The last few months were the toughest. We were fortunate to find two special home care workers, Carla and Noemi, to help care for my mother. The last 11 days of her life, we were able to receive Optimal Home Health Care. Everyone involved treated my mom with the utmost care and compassion. Maria, the home care aide, is so special. I would over hear her talking to my mom, this brought a smile to my face. Also, thanks to the staff at BFMC, Dr. Lee, Dr. Harmon and Katie Sanchez, RN. Thank you for the good care my mother received from all of you. Over the last several years, due to failing health, my mom had to cut back on some of her favorite things, like cooking, baking, knitting and traveling. Over the last 50 years, I can't even begin to estimate how many afghans that my mother has made for friends and family. I estimate they are in at least 10 different states. My mother is also known for her German fruit cakes. During the holidays, we would mail them to family members in various states. One activity she continued to participate in was her luncheons with her girlfriends. They met one or two times per month. She loved seeing her friends Amelia, Virginia, Dot, Alta, Cheva, Sam and several others. Thanks to all of you. My mom was employed at Freddies Top of the Hill for 30 years, until the facility closed. She loved to bowl. She was secretary for many leagues over the years. I remember on Fridays, after school, we all went bowling. It cost $1.00 for 3 games that was a long time ago. Her second career also lasted 30 years. She was a volunteer at KMC. She had almost 15,000 hours of service. My mom and her friend, Cheva, worked the gift shop together on Tuesday and Wednesday, for over 20 years. My mom and dad, Bobbie, were married almost 45 years, until his passing in 1999. They had 2 daughters Corinne (Malcolm) Allan and Sherri Aud, 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Katie Allan. My mom was the oldest of 6 children. She is preceded in death by her 2 brothers Eugene and Clarence and sister Charlene. She is survived by her 2 sisters June (Frank) of IL. and Geraldine (Allen) Gurnett of FL. In lieu of flowers, please donate to any charity of your choice. No services are currently planned. I know my mom is in a much better place. I will miss her. Love Sherri
