1919 – 2011
Truman was born on June 28, 1919 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Loyd and Alta Harris. He came to California in 1941 and lived there until his passing on September 7, 2011. Truman never met a stranger and was well known in the small community of Lamont where he worked and lived .Truman was a supervisor for the Lamont Public Utilities Distict for many years , and after his retirement , enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes with his friends . He also loved to travel and had been to places as far away as Europe , Alaska and the Carribean . Truman is survived by his loving wife, Johnnie Harris; daughter, Loretta and husband Travis Beller; son, Arnold and wife Ingrid Harris; grandsons, Brett Beller, Sean and wife Jamie Harris; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Meagan and Benjamin Harris; brother, Hoyl and wife Bea Harris and their son Scott Harris.
Visitation for Truman will be Monday, September 12, 2011 from 3–7 p.m. and Funeral Service Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary Interment to follow at Arvin Cemetery.
