

William (Bill) G Hupp born 01/08/1932-10/4/2021
Loving husband, father, brother, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle, and brother-in-law.
Bill went to Wilson High School in (El Sereno), and attended John Muir College where he obtained his Associates Degree. He enlisted in the Coast Guard on Jan 24 1951. His enlistment was during Korean War. This is where he started learning about radios and microwave engineering.
After his honorable discharge on Jan 25 1954 he went to work at Standard Coil where he met his wife of 67 years in the summer of 1954 and married October 1954.
He began his Career with Southern California Edison in 1957 where he remained for 32 years retiring in 1987.
One of his favorite songs was Ava Maria. Enjoyed music of the Bee Gees, Celtic Thunder, ABBA, and Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass.
Enjoyed the outdoors, he was a teacher of many things to anyone who wanted to learn. Flying his small airplane was something he loved to do in his spare time, water skiing, family vacations, tinkering in the garage, working with his hands and loved the state of Oregon.
Survived by his wife of 67 years Bertha Hupp, Son William (Bill) Hupp, daughter Eileen Hammond, Daughter-in-law Cindy Hupp and Son-in-Law Edwin Hammond III, Grandsons Chris Hupp, Michael Hupp and Nicholas Lehr. Great Grandkids, Colton Hupp and Hannah Hupp. Granddaughters in law Kelly Hupp and Caitlin Lehr.
May he rest in peace until he is awaken again. ♡♡♡
A funeral service for William will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306, followed by a reception from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
