Bill was born in Bakersfield CA. On August 4, 1937. He passed away February 2, 2021.
His parents Harold & Gladys McKinnon were longtime residents of Bakersfield.
His Brother Bob McKinnon and wife Marian are deceased. His Sister, Carol Pattison and husband, Jerry live in Lynden, Washington. Bill had a special bond between his two nephews Michael Patterson (Jennifer) and Daniel Patterson (Janet).
Bill graduated from Bakersfield High School, were he played his clarinet with the Driller Band. In 1955, he joined USAF and was stationed in Japan and White Sands Missile Range, AZ. After his Honorable Discharge, he started working for The Bakersfield Californian Newspaper as a type setter.
Bill had a big heart and enjoyed engaging people in various conversations. Over the years, while at Rosewood Retirement Center he helped many of the residents.
Bill's Family would like to thank Rosewood for the love and service they provided to Bill over the years.
