

She grew up in Seattle with her parents, many siblings and extended family. As a young adult she and her first husband relocated to Northern California where they lived with their five children: LaNell, Julia, Rebecca, Leah and Kenneth. After sometime she moved herself and her children to Southern California and became established in the community of Barstow. In the late 60’s she married her second husband and gained a son, Roger.
She worked for 46 years with the civil service, many of which were spent managing the MCCS ITT department where she retired as the “Ticket Lady” in 2010.
For 27 years she was apart of the Barstow Sheriff’s Department Citizens on Patrol (COPs) where she held various positions to include multiple terms as Commander and conducted countless hours of service before stepping down 2017.
In 1969 she became a founding member of Lenwood Community Church. She spent the next 52 years actively serving in various capacities to include volunteering with youth programs and the care center as well as holding the office of secretary for 48 years.
Over the years she traveled worldwide with friends (the ones she went with and those she met along the way), family and various organizations. She loved to spend time with her family, friends, church and could often be found tending to her (very green) garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Green; children LaNell Goforth, Kenneth Goforth, and Rebecca George; parents Gary and Cora Hansen; son-in-laws JJ Johnson, Russell George, Rich Johnston and Steven Morehouse; seven siblings and many friends.
She was survived by her children Roger (Denise) Green; Julia Johnson and Leah Johnston; grandchildren Connie Franchia, Randy (Robanne) Johnston, Keith Johnston, Lanell (Dustin) Mayberry, Rebekah (Frankie) Esquivel, Amanda (Robert) Garrett, Jessica (Matthew) Woodgeard, Casey Johnson, Shelby (Jay) Ipson, Kenneth Johnson, Samuel Johnson, Alexander George, Andrew (Jennifer) George, Adam George, Aliah George, Autumn George, Angelina George, Abigail George, Scott Green, Katherine Green, Jessica Green; great-grandchildren Hayley, Gavin, Manuel, Leila, Kiyah, Saria, Maximum, Jaydynn, Trayce, Hayvynn, Tytan, Alaynah, Xavier, Landon, Linkin, Presley, Taytum, Arianah, Gabriel, Alexandria, Brailynn, Anatasia, Niala, Zayne, Dean, Malakia, Zylar; great-great-grandchild Chance. And many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday March 29, 2021 at 11am at Lenwood Community Church (25104 W. Main Street, Barstow, Ca 92311). Social distancing and mask policies will be observed.
