Born in Honolulu Hawaii when his father was in the army, the family was transferred to Ft Irwin CA when he was 4 years old, and he became a lifelong Barstow resident. He was employed by and retired from the Barstow ISD after 28 years of service as a maintenance worker.
He enjoyed watching every kind of sporting event there was, and was a particular fan of the L.A. Dodgers and the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by Texas residents: sister and brother-in-law Jane and Gilbert Duarte, niece and husband Anna and Ray Avery, great-nephews Andrew and Xander Soto and Ray Avery, great-nieces Aubree Murphy and Alex Avery; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins residing in the states of California, Nevada, New York and Hawaii.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Evelyn Muscarella of Barstow and his niece Kyri Duarte of Duncanville Texas.
A memorial service will be scheduled in Barstow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The American Heart Association or to St Jude.
