Dayleen Lee Hubby

Dayleen Hubby, 69, passed away on February 18, 2024 in Barstow, CA. She was born on September 11, 1954 in San Mateo County. Dayleen was born into a family with 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She moved to Newberry Springs with her fiancé Jack Hubby in the Mid 70’s, to a property that had nothing but a shed. Dayleen and Jack worked on building a home from nothing while living in this shed. They soon put a small travel trailer on the property, adding a room for a living room so they can bring home their 1st child Frankie Hubby. She married Jack Hubby on February 20, 1977 at Barstow Court and celebrated. Their 2nd daughter Sarah Hubby was brought home in November of 1978.

Dayleen was a home mom for several years, continuing to build on their family property, until she decided to take classes at Barstow Community College. After completing college, Dayleen went on to work as a Payroll Technician for Barstow Community College until her retirement.

Dayleen was known for her competitive spirit and love of all games especially Aggravation and Phase 10 and was loved by many for her passion of helping anyone in need. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her weekly hangouts with her friends from the college and reading in her free time. She will be remembered for her dedication to Barstow College as a negotiating member of the union and her unwavering attention to detail.

Dayleen is survived by daughters, Frankie Lozano (Jorge), Sarah Mishoe (Don), Donnetta Cosner (Greg), Grandchildren, Jacee Hobbs (Raymond), Averie Lozano, Leeanna Lozano, Keegan Cosner and Landon Cosner, Hailey Bas, Sid Brown (Jesse), Great-Grand children, Iris Brown, & Ben Thompson, her sister Deanne Moses, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
