Lani Michelle Yates Lani Michelle Yates 39, Barstow Ca. entered into rest at 1:04 am, Dec. 15th 2017 from complications due to pneumonia. Lani was born to Robby and Della on May 7th, 1978, in Apple Valley Ca. She is a lifelong resident of Barstow Ca. Lani loved God and showed mercy and grace in all she did. She worked at the Marine Corp Logistics Base for 15 years. She started off as a 911 dispatcher and became an Automated Office Assistant. Lani met Ben in Dec. Of 98 and they were married Feb. 26th 2000. 17 years of an amazing love story produced two wonderful kids Kameron James 16, and Emma Jane 14! Lani was a one of a kind woman, She was a wonderful wife and strived to be the best mom she could be. Lani was involved in all of Kam and Emma's extra-curricular activities. She was a booster club mom for Aztec football, treasurer for little league softball, team mom and treasurer for Emma's travel ball team Mayhem. Lani loved to play softball, mud volleyball, karaoke, concerts, camping, fishing, and never met a keno machine she didn't love. She was big on family and tried to attend all the family functions and vacations. Lani had friends who became her second family who she loved getting together with and spending time. Lani made everyone feel like priority; anyone who had the privilege of meeting her loved her! She is survived by her husband of 17 years Ben Yates, Her son Kameron 16, and daughter Emma 14, Barstow Ca. Her mother and step-father, Della and Steve Weitz, Barstow Ca.
