Robert Lee Jenkins Sr.

Robert (Bob) Lee Jenkins Sr. was born on December18, 1935 in Monroe Louisiana to his parents Allen Jenkins and Elizabeth Foy of Gilbert Louisiana. He was a loved son, father, step-father and friend by many. He was a Yellow Freight Truck Driver for 38 years and set a great example of a hard-working blue-collar worker/provider. He had a passion for flying and enjoyed the years with his personal Cessna airplane. He also enjoyed working on cars and caring for his loved ones. For those who encountered Robert for the first time remembered him and became lifelong friends. He enjoyed spending time with family and had a great sense of humor. He had compassion for those who needed help and would extend his hand when he could. He maintained keen sense of awareness of what was going on in the world and made a distinctive contribution wherever he could. His love for his children and step-children never wavered. He went by Robert, Bob, Daddy, Pops, and Papa.

Robert Lee Jenkins Sr, 86, of Barstow California, went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2022. He is preceded in his death by his parents Allen Jenkins I and Elizabeth Foy Brown of Gilbert Louisiana, Sister Cynthia Jenkins, and Brothers Willie Moses Jenkin Sr., Douglas Brown Sr, and Reginald Brown Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife Jolyn F. Jenkins. They spent the past 44 years together. He is also survived by his Brother Allen Jenkins II, Sister Diane Turner, daughters Anitra Jenkins, Benita Stallings, and Charlene Edwards, sons Perry Jenkins and Robert Jenkins Jr, and 11 step-children.

Family, friends and loved ones may attend the viewing on February 22, 2022 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Funeral services, with graveside services immediately following at Barstow Memorial Cemetery, on February 23, 2022 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
