Bernice Ellen Burton, age 98, of Yucaipa, California passed away on Monday October 8, 2018. Bernice was born May 7, 1920 in Hendricks, Minnesota. She has been a resident of Yucaipa for 35 years. She worked as a clerk for the Riverside Police Department for 14 years. Bernice was a member of the Beaumont Presbyterian Church, Highland Springs Village Singles Club and the Women's Club. Bernice loved any kind of sewing and crafts and knitting and made hundreds of hats for preemie babies and made lap robe quilts for injured soldiers
Bernice is survived by her daughter Wanda (Melvin) Dodge of Cherry Valley; and daughter Patty (Rodger) Mattson of Farwell, MN; six grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Abraham Robinson of Riverside, CA; 2nd husband William Burton of Cherry Valley; daughter Beverly Rosten of Beaumont and son Richard Robison of Banning.
A memorial service for Bernice will be held Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, California 92223.
