Christopher John Gura

Christopher John Gura, 45, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Desert Regional Medical Center, Palm Springs, CA after a brief illness. He was born October 20, 1969 at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland to John and Mary Gura. Chris graduated from Seminole High School (FL) in 1988 and attended the University of Florida and St. Petersburg JC where he obtained his Associates Degree in 1990.

He was an avid sports fan and a proud backer of the Gators and all Chicago teams, especially the Cubs and Bears. He also served as a coach in Beaumont’s Junior All American Football program.

Chris was Vice President of HomeSafe Environmental, Inc., of Loma Linda (CA) for the past 12 years. Prior to that he was a Manager for Wal-Mart.

Chris is survived by his significant other, Melissa Dixson of Beaumont, sons, Christopher Lee and Clark Addison and step-sons Bryce and Tyler Dixson all of Beaumont; father, John Gura of Redlands; Brother, Jeff Gura of St. Petersburg, FL, John Gura, Jr of Hollywood, CA and H. Michael Miley of Roselle, IL.

A memorial service is schedule for Friday, April 10, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Ave., Beaumont, CA 92223.
