Colleen E. Childress (Sites) passed away on September 9,2011 in Hemet, California. She was born in Pueblo, Colorado on January 3, 1917. She was raised in Nebraska and Missouri and moved to Beaumont with her parents and brother in 1933. She attended Beaumont High School and was married to Dean Childress in 1941. She worked in the Beaumont area 20 years for Dr. Fischbach as a receptionist and medical assistant. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Thomas of Sun City, California and a son, Larry Childress of Hemet, California; six grandchildren, Greg and Lisa Thomas, Robert, Cary and Eric Childress and Angela Springer and nine great grandchildren. Graveside service will be September 26, 2011, at 1:00 PM, at Mt. View Cemetery, 1315 Edgar Avenue, Beaumont, California. Arrangements were entrusted to Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, California.
