Dennis Ray Bailey

Dennis Ray Bailey, 69, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 in Banning, California. He was born September 8, 1946 in Modesto, California to Liberty & Alma Bailey. After graduating high school, Dennis enlisted in the United States Army in 1965 to 1967. He resided in Ridgecrest for 30 years and Cherry Valley for the past 3 years. During most of his life he worked for Verizon doing telephone installation where he retired after 30 years of service. Dennis was a pet lover that always enjoyed being outdoors, camping and fishing.

Dennis is survived by his sisters, Debbie Jeffords-Harris of Bullhead City, Nevada and Margaret Jeffords of Las Vegas, Nevada; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Liberty Bond Bailey of San Jose, CA; mother, Evelyn Jeffords of San Jacinto, CA; brothers, Leroy & Wesley Bailey both of Hemet, CA; sisters, Judith Bailey-Smith of Hemet, CA and Norma Bailey-Baxter of Topack, Arizona.

A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1:45pm at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518, Staging Area #4. For anyone interested in joining an informal procession to the Riverside National Cemetery, we will be departing from Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, CA 92223 at 12:45 pm on Friday, January 29, 2016.
