

Fred Wolfe passed away October 11, 2012, at his home in Sun Lakes Country Club, Banning, California after losing his lengthy battle with Alzheimer. He was born to Jim and Bertha Wolfe April 23, 1933, in Denver, Colorado.
Fred graduated from Aurora High School, Aurora, Colorado in 1951. He attended college for a short period at Dennison College, Dennison, Colorado, leaving to join the U. S. Navy, where he served as a machinist from May 1952 to May 1956. Fred remained on reserve duty from June 1956 until May 1960. Fred continued his education and graduated from Los Angeles Trade Tech College as an Electrician in June 1975. He always joked that it only took him 20 years to finish college. Fred worked as a Maintenance Electrician at Rohr Industries in Riverside, California for 30 and a half years, retiring in January 2005.
Fred loved his family, had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes everywhere he went. He also enjoyed gardening, reading, baseball and football. Fred was very active in his kids sports, officiating both football and softball games along with High School football even after his children had all graduated. He enjoyed playing bingo and bunko in his later years after retiring to Sun Lakes Country Club.
Fred is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lorie Wolfe; daughters, Pam Araque, Kathy Parker and Lynn Madewell and sons, Jim Wolfe and Scott Wolfe. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by a daughter, Candy Moore in 2002.
Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Friend, Co-worker and Helper to any and all who asked, Fred was a great man who left behind a grand legacy through his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed and remembered by all.
Memorial service Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at 2:00 PM, at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, California. A reception will follow at Weaver Mortuary. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
