Born May 3rd, 1930 in Huntington Park, CA to Lee D. Einsel and Mary M. Einsel (Leinan). He was raised and lived in Southern California all of his life, with the exception of serving 4 years in the Army during the Korean War from 1948 through 1952.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years of marriage, Cathelene Einsel (DuPriest), daughters LeAnn Harrington, Gina Sewell and son Barry Einsel. His grandchildren, Christopher Harrington, Jeremy Sewell, Sara Einsel, and Megan Einsel, as well as his great grandchildren Chanley Sewell, Kellan Harrington and Paighten Sewell.
His death is preceded by his brother John Bean and sister Jean Murray (Einsel).
Roy Einsel spent most of his career as a maintenance painter for large factories such as US Steel and the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., then later for the La Mirada School District. He was also an entrepreneur, along with his wife they owned their own book store for over 15 years in South Gate, CA. After retirement and selling their long time home in Downey, CA, they moved to Palm Desert and have lived there for the past 13 years.
A simple man that always wanted to be sure he had food on the table for his family, and his biggest pleasure was to tease others. In the end he did it his way!
There will be no service at this time, but a celebration of life when all children can come together in California.
Arrangements under the direction of Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, CA.
