Irene Blanche Lavallee

Irene Blanche Lavallee, age 93, of Banning, California, formerly of Anaheim, California, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at Golden Meadows Assisted Living in Banning, California. She was the daughter of the late Emeric Joseph Angers and Albertine Rose Angers.

Irene is survived by her husband of 75 years, Francis Lavallee; her sister, Lorraine T. Wohlers (Walter) of Banning, California; her son Donald Lavallee; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Alan Lavallee (Donna) and brother, Emeric O. Angers (Angelina).

Irene was born in Worcester, MA, on June 26, 1917. After her marriage to Francis, they moved to Long Beach, California, in 1952. They were followed shortly thereafter by the rest of her immediate family, parents and siblings. She and Francis worked together to establish and run his jewelry business until their retirement.

Irene will be remembered fondly by all her family as a caring, kind and loving person.

A memorial service was held on April 7, 2011 at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, California. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to The Alzheimer's Foundation or Hospice For Life.
