Janie lived in Beaumont most of her life. She went to Beaumont, CA schools, K-12. She attended kindergarten at Wellwood with Mrs. Bates. During High School she attended Beaumont High on Cherry Ave and Graduated in 1967.
Janie was Brownie and a Girl Scout, she learned many skills and had many talents. She was very creative. She played in the Beaumont High School marching band, starting with clarinet and then changing to saxophone. Janie loved music, she played her clarinet every week.
Janie loved to cook, taught by her mother Josephine Recupero Morgan. She also loved to bake and was very good at it. She would make extra, extra high delicious apple pies.
Janie crocheted. She made huge and colorful crocheted blankets for her nieces and nephews. They loved them and would use them for play and sleep.
Janie loved her little dog "Cookie" who was a pomeranian and chihuahua mix. Cookie loved Janie very much.
Janie loved people, she loved talking to people. It was the highlight of her day. If she saw you in Walmart, her shopping had to wait. Janie had the biggest smile and welcomed conversations.
Janie loved her friends and family, her cousins, aunts and uncles. She had 37 first cousins on her mom's side and 18 first cousins on her dad's side. Most of all she loved her husband, Gene Seely. She loved spending time with her loving husband Gene. Gene also loved her very much. They had known each other in their early 20's but did not get married until their 70's! Life just happens that way. They had loved each other all those years in between.
Janie was loved by so many friends and family. Yes, Janie was loved but above all she loved "The One True God" and "Our Lord Jesus Christ". She spoke the "Word of Salvation" to everyone she knew and wanted to make sure everyone received the opportunity to go to heaven.
Janie was a very special person "Child of God" and always wanted to be a missionary.
Janie loved the "Word of God" in the bible. She preached the "word". She loved church camp in the mountains every summer with her uncle Les and aunt Ferne Morgan. She went to the First Baptist Church.
If you were ever in need of a meal with dessert, a crocheted blanket for warmth or wanted to know the way for "Eternal Life" in heaven she was your girl!
Her message was CLEAR!
The love and salvation offered by Jesus Christ was for all people who turn to him with repentant hearts.
Janie will be missed. She always wanted to see the face of Jesus. Now she is happy.
Janie, you will be loved forever.
Janie, you will be missed.
Love,
Your husband Gene, and your sister Joan Morgan Salinas Todaro, your daughter Mystique, and your
grand daughters Amy and Audrey.
