Jean Morrell was born Delores Jean Bancroft on August 29, 1925 in Madison, Wisconsin. She grew up on a dairy farm, yearning for city life. Jean met John Morrell shortly after World War II ended, and it was love at first sight! They married and moved to sunny California in 1946. Their two daughters, Marilyn and Sharon, were born here. They led a happy life with the girls filled with love and laughter. John’s job transferred him to several different states starting in 1966, sometimes more than one a year! It allowed then to see the country and make many friends. They finally settled at Highland Springs Country Club in 1989, where they were so happy with golf, bridge, parties, travel, and of course, lots of good friends with whom to share it all. Both Jean and John are now gone, having lived a full and happy life together. They will be sorely missed, but will live in our hearts forever.
