

John was a Lover, Husband, Friend, Father, Grandpa and Great Grandpa! John Evan Kesler Sr. passed away at 90 years old on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at the Cherry Valley Health Care nursing home, surrounded by family. John was born May 4, 1927 at the Seaside Hospital in Long Beach, CA. John Kesler was the second son to Mable Gustava and father Evan Leon Kesler. John had one other brother Robert Leon, and a baby sister. Both have preceded.
John enlisted in the Army on July 17, 1945, during World War 2. He was stationed in Puerto Rico at the Fort. He was in the 7503rd Signal Corp Service unit, Tec SGT Emergency Mobile Radio Truck to help in hurricanes and disasters. Tec Sargent second in charge of message center. Rifle M-1SS Sharp Shooter.
After his service time, John became an apprentice for learning office machine repair. He was sent to a school to learn his trade. He became proficient, and later owned his own business in Long Beach, CA. He married Jane Audrey, and they had two boys and a girl. John Evan Kesler Jr. and Jim Leon Kesler, and daughter Jill Cludia Humphrey. Jill had 3 daughters, Christy, Lisa, and Tammy. John Jr. has 2 girls, Kacie and Dr. Kelly. And Jim has 1 girl, Audrey Nicole. Jane preceded John. In 1981, John met the love of his life Maudine D. Lovingfoss. They both married for a second time. John retired working for the San Bernardino School District in 1989. They enjoyed traveling in their RV to places of interest, also travel by ocean liner, line dancing, and playing dominos with friends. In 1990, they moved to Highland Springs Mobile Home Park. John and Maudine were married 38 years with 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Weaver Mortuary is handling arrangements for John at Riverside National Cemetery on January 8, 2018 at 11:15 am.
