Marilyn Mae Sutherland

Mrs. Sutherland was born December 10, 1927, the 5th of ten children, to the late Edward and Alma Kreitz, in Lexington, Nebraska..

Marilyn worked for several years as office administrator for Fullerton Manufacturing and Rockwell International. She enjoyed family gatherings and singing and playing her piano and organ.

While living in Banning, she was active in many Sun Lakes groups and activities including the Lady Niners, Chorale of Sun Lakes, Bocce Ball, and Friendship Club. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian church.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Ike Sutherland, and eight of her siblings.

Marilyn is survived by her adoring children; Carolyn Marshall (Clarke), Karla Maguire, and Bradley Sutherland (Judy); grandchildren, Scott, Darci, Robert, Nicholas, Samantha, and Jacquelyn; 5 great-grandchildren, 1 g-great grandson; and several nieces and nephews she loved as her own.

She is also survived by her sister, Janet Bowman of Eldridge, IA, and sister-in-law, Janet Kreitz of Norfolk, VA.

A family celebration of Marilyn's, well lived, life was held Friday, October 6, 2017 at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, CA and officiated by Pastor Scott Mason of Beaumont Presbyterian Church.

Arrangements under the direction of Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, CA.
