October 12, 1932-July 5, 2013 Age 80

Mary passed peacefully with the same grace and dignity in which she conducted her life in Redlands, CA on July 5, 2013 with family by her side.

Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Harland Grady Travis of 58 years, mother Martha Leona Lawrence, father Eldon David Lawrence, sisters, Dorothy Nichols and Joyce Maddox and brothers Hoyit, Reldon, Billy, Bobby and Buster Lawrence.

Mary is survived by her five sons George, Steven, Mark, Tracy and Shawn Travis, 15 Grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren, her sister Betty Young, and brothers Ronald, Michael and Richard Lawrence, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mary will always be remembered for her small stature, and great faith, her beauty, her laughter, her intelligence, her strength and her love and devotion to her five sons who were in her prayers and thoughts throughout their lives. Mary had many talents including building houses with her husband Grady and her boys and helping to organize and support their family business for many years. Earlier in her life Mary owned a boutique and was respected by family and friends for her great style and her ability as a valued personal shopper for many of her clients and her desire to help others. Mary had decorating skills that were invaluable to family and friends and enjoyed everything from laying floor tile, helping build a patio, wallpapering and painting and she especially enjoyed re-arranging furniture in their home and was always willing to share her skills with family and friends Mary was a constant source of faith and inspiration and well respected and loved by her entire family and a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who truly treasured each and every child.

You were truly a blessing. We miss you and love you deeply and we have no doubt that you are using that ticket to Heaven that you always joked about with that special Mary Lou Travis style of humor.

Service will be held at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Ave.,Beaurnont, CA on July 19th, 2013. Viewing between 10-12:00 and service to follow Final Resting Place Mountain View Cemetery, 1315 Edgar Avenue, Beaumont, CA
