

Born April 5, 1926 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Walter Marian and Flossie Mae Phillips. Married High School sweetheart Johnnie Marie King of Elwood, Kansas on January 8, 1946. Served in the Army during World War II in Europe and Pacific Campaign. Located to Southern California where they had two boys, Dan and Steven Phillips, who grew up in Pasadena. Owner of Biltmore Garages and NHP parking in Los Angeles. Served as Secretary Treasure for Los Angeles Parking Association for 15 years. Senior Executive for Century Parking upon retirement in 1991. Moved to Sun Lakes in 1997 where he served as Secretary Treasure for the Men’s Executive Golf Club and Entertainment Coordinator for the International Culture Club. Survived by his loving wife, Johnnie, of 66 years, 2 sons, Dan Phillips and friend Kathleen Freund of Banning, Steven and Catherine Phillips of Alta Dena, Steven and Aleta Phillips, Jr. of Rock Springs, Wyoming 8 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and 1 great grandson. The highlight of his life was being surrounded by his loving family . A celebration of Norman’s life will be held at 5:00 PM on April 7, 2012 at the South Clubhouse in Sun Lakes Country Club.
