

Robert Winston White, 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his home in Cherry Valley, California. Robert was born June 12, 1928 in Lemoore, California to Henry H. and Mable E.M. Harris White.
He resided in Cherry Valley for over 35 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since he was 29 years old, holding many positions in the church including 2nd counselor in the Bishopric.
Robert graduated from Lemoore Union High School on June 6, 1946. Later he served in Japan during the Korean War as a Fireman and Crew Chief in the United States Air Force. After being discharged he was a fireman for North American and Lockheed Plant 42, and later for 19 years as an industrial fireman for Kaiser Steel in Fontana.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Penelope and his daughter, Michele Siffing as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 10-11 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am, both at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 6140 W. Wilson Street, Banning, CA. Graveside service will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 2:15 pm, Staging area #2.
