

William Edward Lantz, 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 due to complications of Parkinson’s disease at Wildwood Canyon Villa in Yucaipa. He was born March 6, 1928 in Indiana, Pennsylvania to John & Esther Lantz. Bill resided in Redlands for 28 years and Beaumont for the past 12 years. He spent 18 months from 1946 – 1947 in the United States Army where he received a WWII Victory Medal. He went on to achieve his Masters of Science from Oregon State University of Corvallis and Indiana State Teachers College in 1952. Bill was a teacher for 30 years and retired from the San Bernardino City School District. He enjoyed being an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Redlands, the Calico Quails Square Dance Club and the Elks Lodge of Eugene, Oregon.
Bill is survived by his wife, Alice E. Lantz; daughter, Theresa E. Lantz; sons, William E. Lantz, Jr and Gregory Scott Lantz; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, Randall Keith Lantz and sisters, Viola Jean and Leila Geraldine.
A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 9:45 am at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518, Staging Area #4. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinsons.org/
